I'm Kawsu Jabbi, A Founder and Tech Innovator

I am Kawsu Jabbi, an innovative leader in technology education with a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems and a Master's student in Educational Management Information Systems (EMIS). As the founder of Kids In Technology Foundation, I am dedicated to preparing children for the 4th Industrial Revolution through nationwide STEM education, mentorship, and digital literacy training.

In addition to my work with Kids In Technology, I co-founded and manage the protechdev software development team, successfully developing real estate and property management apps, as well as a time attendance app. My leadership bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

My achievements include the International Creativity and Innovation Gold Award and the Pan African Robotics Competition Star League Winner Award. As the Next Estein Ambassador to Gambia (2023-2024) and a recipient of the National Youth Award for the Fatim Badjie Tech Award, I have made significant contributions to technology and education. I also volunteer with the University of The Gambia ITCA Summer Training program, demonstrating my commitment to nurturing future IT professionals. Through dedication, innovation, and a commitment to excellence, I aim to make a lasting impact on the next generation of tech-savvy individuals.

What I Do?

Recruiting Young Innovators

In 2019, I co-founded Kids In Technology, an innovative tech hub that trains young people in web development, Python programming, robotics, IoT, AI concepts, and drone technology. Our space, equipped with numerous prototyping tools and mentors from Gambian universities, is the top center for youth innovation and creativity. We also organize events like exhibitions and hackathons to showcase young talents.

Digitalizing Businesses

I co-founded and manage a web development company that employs ten young software engineers, many of whom I trained from a young age. Our company has developed numerous applications that enhance client efficiency. We add value to businesses by analyzing their data, ensuring their online presence through websites, and boosting their visibility with social media marketing.

Innovating School

I have a vision to transform my country into an innovative center where young people can become digital creators. My team and I at Kids In Technology are researching and building STEM tools, such as IoT devices and robots, and creating coding books for schools to prepare young Gambians for future tech careers. We aim to innovate schools by moving from traditional education to modern education styles and tools, introducing coding, robotics, IoT, and artificial intelligence.

Empowering Innovation

I am an influential person and a role model to many young innovators in The Gambia. I give public speeches to raise awareness about digital literacy, cybersecurity, and various tech-related areas. I conduct tech talks in remote villages, supporting local communities in learning and accessing technology. Additionally, I have attended numerous seminars, conferences, and interviews across The Gambia to share my journey and inspire others.
